Default drastic increase in fuel consumption

I've owned my 2.8 crd voyager for about six years and have got to know the normal fuel consumption for various driving conditions. I could get about 36 on the motorway and around 28 round town.

I recently had a lumpy tick over and was advised it was a faulty injector so I had them all sent away to be refurbished.

I've had it back about a month and it certainly is driving much better, however I can't now achieve more than 23 mpg, even on the motorway.

Quite a drop, it's been suggested that now the injectors are working properly they are pushing through more fuel. Not sure about that I was expecting better mpg not worse.

Just wondered what sort of mpg others get with the same vehicle.
The car is 07 and done about 150k - 70k of which I've done.

Any thoughts.

Thanks

Perhaps your EGR is needing cleaned out or sticking.

Thanks for the replies.

I've now got the engine warning light on so I'll see if I can get the fault code.

Been a while since I tried this is it with the key in the ignition rapidly

on-off-on-off-on-off
