Default Electrical Issues with 99 Chrysler T&C

I am having some issues with my 99 Chrysler T&C, 3.8 liter, FWD, Auto, 243k. Recently replaced a failed alternator, and changed spark plugs and wires while alternator was out. Problem has developed since I did that work (noticed it within 3 days or so). Now, if I hit high RPM (2500-3000) ABS light and Trac Off light turn on. I am very easy on my van, so it rarely hits 3000 RPM, hence why it took me a few days to notice. If at idle and I take the car to 3000 RPM, the tacometer, temp gauge and fuel gauge all drop back to resting position. Using a voltmeter, my idle voltage is ~14.25-14.5. Had a friend watch the voltage while I took the engine to 3000 RPM, and it hit a max of 18.9 volts. I've been using the car (which I know is not ideal) but I try to keep the RPM under 2000 as much as possible to protect the computer.

Battery and connectors are both less than 2 months old, with no corrosion present.

Being a 99 model year I would remove and clean Neg. connections at body and motor/trans. points. Then see what happens

If sens wire touch ground if will change heavy , normal if you are not sure a alternator is working make a short from sens to ground and alternator will charge with high current but do only this for test limit time.

So it sound like you a ground problem or sens probelem. Try meassure with volt meter in volt range between body and engine wile engine running if voltage is abov 0,2 volt you got a problem. ground wire to engine is common to brake together with all the other wires from body to transmission. And defently if your engine support is bad.

My G.Caravan hardly get over 14 volt under normal condition , only in winter time and never over 14,5volt.

If you notis chrysler mini vans bulbs last manny hours compare to other brands course of the state of the art voltage control .

From all my research I have done, it seems to be the voltage regulator in the PCM that failed. So I have a new PCM on the way. I will update with the results

New PCM came in the mail, and I installed it. Did not remedy the issue. Is it possible the alternator is faulty?

Did you try short the sens terminal to check if alternator is cable to deliver high load ?

it's the terminal on alternator you need to short to ground and NOT the wire to PCM

just let engine run with all electrical power ON , heat seat, HVAC on , Heat rear windshild ect. light ...
