Default engine squeal

my voyager 3.3 98 has developed a squealing noise from under the hood.
dont think its the belt but when i rev it it does go faster but sounds more like engine even though it runs really sweet. if anyone has had this or if you have any idea what it might be will be a great help. thanks.
getting very irritating...

Update on this been told it could be my valve lifters. Is this an easy job or one for the garage. Anyone. Have been doing some reading up on this an what I've come across its a common fault but can't seem to find a cure. Anyone any idea. Thanks

The rocker shafts could be starved for oil because a cam bearing turned. They make a hell of a squeeling noise when that happens. If you pull the valve covers off and you see one of the rocker shafts is dry then you have a problem.
