Found this thread searching answer to this very same problem
I previously had IV-gen Grand Caravan CRD and I solved thermostat-problem with this hack.
Now I have V-gen and engine temp is about 30% (I think normal should be little under 50%. Where is your temp atm?
Have you fixed the problem? I think the lower hose in your pics would be better option than straight to radiator.
Atm I'm thinking to measure that hose because it seems larger than gen-IV had so that Renault-thermostat would be too little I think?
