Default Fuel Filter 2012 Town and Country

Looking for the Fuel filter on the 2012 Town and Country. I heard somewhere that it is in the tank and does not need to be changed. My van (240,000 miles) is running like its starving for fuel with high RPM to get it moving faster. Once at speed it runs fine. It not a non serviceable fuel filter...then any ideas where I should look? Fuel injectors? Spark plugs? Coils? There are no engine lights on. There is a slight ping (or knock) in the engine when at idle but its not the oil which has been serviced regularly. Thanks for any help
