Hi Sam,

I'm not sure you can lock it, using the fob, to not set the alarm to active, but if you press the lock button on the fob 4 times, it should give a beep and not activate the internal detection system (for leaving pets etc. in the car). Maybe you could lock it manually with just the key to not activate the alarm?

However, if you are getting a flat battery from inactivity, I recomend you buy a solar charger, plug it into the power socket outlet that is directly connected to the battery, leave it on the dashboard and it will trickle charge the battery for you to keep it up to proper voltage levels, even in very overcast conditions.

A solar charger costs about 13 pounds (including postage) from Maplin, other electronic outlets are available.

I have the 18-19 volt version that charges at about 1.5W. I use mine when I leave the car at the airport when I am away for a couple of weeks or more at a time.

Best wishes,
HH
