Default Grand voyager tow bar

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a tow bar that either folds up under the bumper when not in use or one that has a detachable ball please
Thanks

Default Grande Voyager Towbar

Hi, you don't say what year you car is, but, I got a detachable one for my 03, Grand Voyager 2.5 CRD LTD, OF Flee-bay. It is still advertised on there for £122 plus £14.99 postage. The price is about half that of other makes.
It is over engineered I would say in 8 & 10mm bent shaped steel and would likely tow a truck, if your bodywork would take it that is.
Now the thing is I still have not fitted it yet due to other commitments but have tried.
Tried to take off the 2 bolts below either side that is, as they are almost rusted in. Creek, creek they go even after lubricating and danger of stripping hex's on bolt heads.
Bolts look like they secure the bumper on. Looking into drilling off extra thread throw captive nut via through boot floor. So that's your first job before a simple bolt on affair.
Heat would probably help, but embedded in body frame.
Sorry if this wrecks your idea of a Towbar.
Or get a garage to fit it.

Default Towbar

Hi I have just fitted an Anker towbar (not Detachable) with twin electrics to my '03 Grand Voyager this week and was pretty simple. Also from ebay. Same situation with the very tight bumper bolts but loads of penetrating oil and a windy gun and they came out no problem. Hard bit was attaching the two side supports as the kit cam with a nut with a welded rod which is for the front of the three bolts. Pretty fiddly but eventually located itself. Very sturdy capable towbar, just a shame the maximum towing weight for the GV is only 1600Kg.

Try typing your year, make and model into Reesehitches.com and see what comes up. If they don't have it, I don't know who would.
