i have a similar problem with my voyager. it just lost all drive. if i turn off the engine and restart it will move in 1st a little bit and then stop. i have been told to change the filter before changing the box so im doing that in the morning. will let you guys know if it works

This is an AUTOMATIC trans isnt it????

Thru the dipstick tube........

Also Make sure the filter is PROPERLY seated and secure....Many vehicles with your issue , have been traced to a loose filter that has fallen of, and the pump sucks up air instead of fluid.

well the box is in bits. not looking good . found all these bits of metal in the gearbox sump
