Question Hazard lamp drawing power when turned off - Is the lamp on the back door same fuse?

My van has been losing battery charge when the car is turned off and key is removed.

I used a multi-meter to identify that it is the fuse that is marked "Hazard Lamp". It draws a few amps.

Everything seems to work okay, though. However, I just noticed that the left side lamp on the back door is missing entirely. I'm referring to the lamp that turns on when you open the back door so you can see. Is that lamp on the same circuit as the hazard lamp?

Note: By "back door" I mean the trunk rather than the rear side doors.

Never mind. I still had a working lamp on the other side and it stays on with the fuse removed, so no, it isn't controlled by that fuse. Thanks anyhoo.

Default Sounds familiar

Hi there by hazards do you mean the turn signal indicators? On mine the three led signal indicators on the side mirrors are dimly lit occasionally. This drains the battery and leaves us stranded several times a year.

i have not been able to work out what triggers them to stay lit (not on just dim) but you post reminded me of of it.

best of luck finding the culprit.

I meant the emergency lights. I replaced the cable end of the battery ground and I don't seem to be drawing any power anymore. However, I notice that when I open the side door I hear the emergency lights clicking. I think there is a short somewhere where these circuits meet.
