Exclamation help.....98 t/c 3.8l problems

ok im new to this forum and dont know where to start

1.... dome lights stop working 4 months ago
2.... tha van fully died on me while on the highway(thak goodness i was in a traffic jam)
3... lights flicker(dim) and brake light, abs and battery light comes on

whats going on with this van, we drive alot to and from mass, rhode island and new york and dont want to die cause of this......... im good on working on cars and going to start the search on sunday but would like to be ponited in the right direction................. battery/ terminals, alternator r new....

is this b4 or after the new battery and alternator was put on?

Check all your engine grounds and make sure they are tight. That's first thing to do. 3.3/3.8 there are some on the end of the front head and there is one down on the top starter bolt. Make sure the wiring harness on the back of the plenum isn't laying down on the exhaust manifold. Sometimes when people do tune ups on these they forget to bolt the harness back onto the plenum. Irinically that wiring has the alternator wiring in it. There's also an outside chance your regulator in your PCM is on the fritzz. Disregard that for now... There are other things it can be but this is a good place to start...the simple stuff

Dome light issue is probably unrelated.....
