hey guys I would greatly appreciate some help finding a transmission for my mom's 2005 Grand Caravan SXT with a 3.8L motor and traction control.
the van grenade d the transmission and when I dropped the pan verified this by finding several handfuls of metal shards and needle bearings so def new trans is needed.
I have called junk yards because we just want a used one as it is now a spare vehicle but they are short of good low mileage ones that have traction control and every yard is asking about the
traction control.
I have found lots of good 3.8 05,06 year transmissions with low miles but none have traction control options.

my question is does it actually matter and if so can someone please explain to me why for my further education as I am unable to see why it matters in relation to the transmission. I have searched every thing I can
but have not found the answer to my question.

any help in understanding what auto transmissions will drop right in to the caravan sxt 05 with no mods or very minimal ones will be greatly appreciated so I can get mom's van back on the road for her. I understand this is a
Chrysler forum but I have yet to get an answer in my caravan forum where I posted the same question.

I'm no expert on auto boxes but I think all Caravans/Voyagers have traction control. I'm not even sure if it's part of the transmission or if it's controlled by the ABS circuit.
