Per manual for 2004 2.5crd the input shaft bearing is 5069 049AA. and retainer 5069 050AA. So you seem right. Regarding gearbox parts you may need to go Chrysler. But he ho some taxi's use this engine and may use same gearbox so try a taxi repair garage. LDV also use this engine so repair garage again.

thanks for reply. Ordered one from Glasgow Chrysler dealership..the one under Arnold Clark. was in total £ 86. Must collect on Tuesday. I really didnt want to buy it because i could get front brakes for that money.Road tax runs out tomorrow and i planned bigger jobs on my Beast. All moving parts and joints from front end and rear droplinks and shocks. Beast will be off road for at least month. thats what happens if you bush jobs forward..done it all year and now iv got too much of them So people take care of your Voya and dont end up like me___ on Bicycle and even this need little attention,,chain is rusted ,,it wont bend

I've been buying parts from Jeep Chrysler parts lately as they seem to be cheaper than Euro and 4less.

I like your gearbox cradle, you've been working in Bounty Bobs gold mine haven't you.
Think I'd prefer blocks of wood under that sump incase jack goes wobbly. You can always take them out now and again with use of jack.
Further than that, keep the pictures coming...

From the gearbox schematic the bearing unit looks like it is held in place with a cover plate. So I take it there is no preloading of bearing with shims involved.
