Can't say this will fix the problem, BUT...
From your posting of works on a slope and not on level surface.....
Have you tried lubricating the sliding door pivot link (the middle of the three door roller tracks? They can get "sticky" and overcome the preset safety action.limiter.

"when out driving on level ground they will not open"

They won't [design] open while driving.

I did NOT mean the tracks. I said the pivot link hinge for the center track roller. Also a "safety" function is the van needs to be in PARK for doors to operate.
Last thought is one of the release cables is slightly out of adjustment from replacing the motors.

2003 3.3 v6
I'm year 2005 CRD 2..8 MkIV so cant speak to your motor. Electrical, Mechanical Logic. I'm electromagnetically managed. Door tracks are stepper motors [12v] controlled by [PCi logic] BUS. You tell it to open door it sends an instruction to apply voltage to that stepper via BCM through IPM. Low/poor starter battery power often causes error code in BCM and logic fails.

Detach + battery terminal 20 minutes then reattach clears short [not long] codes but enough to make door switch operate again. You had battery / starting issues ? Been messing with electrics ? Aftermarket radio ? BTW my radio codes are stored in BCM I've no idea on yours so caveat emptor my friend.
