Default Horn Blowing

My cousin had to disconnect the battery because the vehicle horn kept beeping. I'm looking to see what is the cause and any repair suggestions please.

It's probably the alarm and if it is the alarm, after it activates and your cousin unlocks the car, does it beep? It should beep to indicate the number of times the alarm has activated while the car has been left unattended.
There again I'm not sure if that feature was available in 1997.

The horn kept blasting and the lights would flash. When I entered the vehicle, the alarm indicator was lit up on the dash. Turn key in driver's door lock and it quit. Was advised in these forums that there was a switch in one of the three lock cylinders on vehicle. Tried fix and had success. Thank you for your responses.
