P0505 Idle Air Control Sysem Malfunction
If there is a code set for the idle air control motor it will be P0505 but don't assume that it means the valve/motor is bad. It could be a bad wire or several other things I'm sure. The Haynes repair manual says you can test the IAC by disconnecting the plug and listening for a change in idle rpm. When I disconnected mine the engine shut off after about 15 seconds. Make sure it is definately faulty before you go buy one. Most parts stores won't let you return an electrical part once installed unless your a certified mechanic. They are about $90.00

Yes please do our 98 Town & Country started out doing the exact same thing yours is doing. We let it go for a little while and it progressively got worse until it shut off and left us stranded on the side of the road. It would not crank until the engine cooled down. We brought it to our local mechanic and they have changed the camshaft position sensor, idle air control motor, crankshaft position sensor, a coil pack and the computer and it still isn't fixed. It has been there for a month now. So I don't know if your situation could worsen if not dealt with soon. Let me know the outcome.
