01 Chrysler T&C, 116,000 miles. Friday it was fine, Saturday I put the key in the ignition and I cannot turn it at all. Turning the steering wheel to release any tension on the lock, it still won't turn. Tried all 3 keys on it. I assume it's got to be able to turn to even get it out to replace it. Van is stuck in the garage and will have to be dragged out in park and towed to the dealership if I can't do anything with it. Has anyone experienced this before? What did you do?

ball your hand up in a fist use it like a hammer With one hand apple pressure like u were turning the key on with the other had as a fist hit the key like a hammer it will come free then Replace the key cyl and all will be good.

 

Thank you! Worked like a charm. I don't see the traditional little pin hole to put a pin in to release the lock cylinder. Can anyone post that procedure?

 

remove the steering cover 2 or 3 screws then u will see it facing down key must be in run position to do.
