Angry Jacket sleeve has disabled back door opening!

Hello,
A few days ago, the back door clicked shut with my son's coat sleeve caught in the latch. Since then, we've tried everything to get it out. It's STUCK. The door will not open. I thought perhaps the button on the front ceiling console that appears to disable the automatic doors would help us disable that door so we could manually open it, but we still hear the automatic mechanisms whirring and clicking, and we CANNOT get it to open, despite working together and tugging on it at various points, as well as applying pressure to the sleeve. This sounds silly, but my son needs that jacket for an overnight trip in a few days. Not to mention that' we'd like to be able to use the back door! :-) Does anyone know how to disable the power door feature? Or any other tips?

What year is your van? Try disconnecting the battery and manually opening the door? I assume you mean a middle door and not the rear hatch.
