Default Which model? Please help!

I'm in Australia looking at buying a used 2005 Chrysler Grand Voyager Vision, but not sure if it's an LX Vision or a Limited Vision as the badge is missing. The car dealer says it's an LX, but I've had a 2005 before, many years ago, and honestly I think I know more about the models than they do. I'm sure it's a Limited. It has leather seats, front row heated seat, electric rear view mirror, 10in DVD for a start. One thing that I haven't seen before though is it doesn't have woodgrain finish around the stereo system. The side panels (where you expect to see the woodgrain) aren't black plastic like in the SE, they are a kind of black check. How can I find out? Perhaps the vin?

If the information isn't included in the registration documents perhaps you could do a comparison with some of the models for sale on Autotrader (if you have Autotrader or an equivalent in Oz). There are lots of variations between countries, i.e. we don't have the 'Vision' in the U.K. And it's possible that the 'kind of black check' side panels are an aftermarket carbon fibre replacement. My 2004 Limited had woodgrain effect side panels but I have just bought a 2007 2.8 CRD Executive XS which has silver coloured side panels.

With the VIN, the dealer can find out exactly what trim level and options the car was built with. It's not a matter of opinion.

I've just found this website but I haven't tried it myself: Chrysler VIN Decoder | My VIN Decoder
