Default needle lights

Today I hit my dashboard with my fist and the needle of my rev counter started glowing
Should all needels glow? Or just Tach and Rev?
And is it just a matter of replacing bulbs? Or is there something tricky with the needles?

Hitting dash to bring up lights and gauges is caused by soldiered joints coming loose...Some cars are inherited with this fault...Solved by removing gauges unit and checking for loose plugs then cracks in soldering.

Try rotating that "dimmer" control RHS side of dash-board. Mine glow when I put it in a certain position.

My rev needle stopped glowing entirely today, now not one needle glows, no matter how hard I hit the dashboard
one day I'm gonna open the dashboard and replace all bulbs (assuming its lighted by a bulb)

I think Goggs might be right that you have a cracked wire or wires need re-soldiering behind the dash, you will have to let us know when you find out hopefully is a nice simple job and not too much hassle

I think I am going to do that in spring but I will report on that.
First I need to replace my sliding door.
