Default NO SOUND FROM INFINITY SPEAKERS

Hi
I am trying to fit an aftermarket dvd head unit to my grand voyager 2001> and everything works except the sound. I realise that it is something to do with the infinity speakers. When I took the original stereo out it had a grey and green wire connected to the back case labelled AMP. When I pull this off it cuts off the sound. What do I need to do to this wire to make the new stereo work. Thanks

I know your problem, probably.
Connect the wire that turns your amp on.
In the past, I have used the power antenna power wire on the back of the head unit for that.

It's a simple, and rather common mistake.

Yep,
The AMP on/off is controlled by a canbus command sent from the factory head unit.

In a lot of cases you can just force the NBS relay to come on with the ignition (turning the amp on whenever ignition has power) as a lot of aftermarket fitters have done.
Feed a wire from igntion supply to the fusebox NBS relay and that should sort it.

I went a step further and removed the factory AMP, so if you want to do that or want to lookup the colour codes I documented them all on my website Andy Brown's blog: Chrysler - Audio system, amplifier and head units
