Default oil light stays on

oil light comes on after engine warms up and when I hit the brake, then goes off. Just changed oil and filter. Any suggestions on what it could be. On a 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager SE

Either your oil pressure is actually low or the oil pressure sender is bad. Odds are it's the later. On the 3.8 and 3.3 engines it's just to the left of the oil filter. I would change that first because they are cheap and fix these most of the time. If that doesn't fix it connect an oil pressure gauge (loaned from Autozone etc) to verify the actual pressure. If you verify it's low you have a bad pump or an obstruction.

If you haven't changed the oil regularly, you could have sludge built up in the pan that's floating and blocking the oil pick up. May have to remove the oil pan and inspect.

Your words actually point to low oil in sump...Oil becomes more fluid when hot.....Brake, oil surges to front of sump, pickup is exposed and oil light comes on...Brake off, oil levels in sump, pickup collects oil and light goes out...
