Default Output speed sensor symptoms

Is it possible to have a defective output speed sensor without having erratic speedo behavior and/or a failure code?

I've got p0760 & limp mode. Have replaced TCM & later solenoid pack. After each replacement, the van ran fine for 100 miles (TCM), and 800 miles (sol pack). Now p0760/limp mode back on permanently.

Running out of options except for dealership.

Thanks,

Chuck
