Faced with 2 choices, (1) 6 hours and no knuckles - or (2) 10 minutes and 2 jubilee clips - its no contest. As an aside, its going to crop up many times in the next few weeks so here is your starter for 10 on flat battery's on CRD's.

I too had overheating in summer in france ,dam you france!!!.
I changed radiator and thermostat ,the latter was an absolute pig of a job ,never seen such a poor designed "serviceable item".
But the over heating or "running hot" continued ,I managed to get my launch x431 updated and working ,I checked both sets of cooling fans ,via the launch I can power up the low speed fans and both fans work ,when I power the high speed fans up only one works !! ,so this is my problem the high speed fan should pull the temp down to half when the low speed fan can no longer cope with it and I only have one fan working ,the fans are contolled by 3 relays mounting to the front slam panel near the passenger headlight.
I haven't had time to investigate this any more yet ,but I soon as I can get onto it I will post back ,(very hard nigh impossible to get the engine hot enough to make the high speed fans come on automatically),so very hard to check in situ, the only way to to it would be to get the Chrysler to climb on the gauge, pull over and check the fans to see what is/ isn't working.
cheers richard

Not trying to hijack the thread, but does anyone here know what the port on the left is for on this water pump for a Chrysler 3.3L/3.8L engine? In the USA, it seems there is simply a plug in this port. I wonder if things are different in other countries.

thanks!
