Default P0340 & p1130

Driving in the car today, accelerated up a hill, came to a stop for the traffic lights and as soon as I went to drive off the engine stalled. It wouldn't start at all and got P0340 (cam sensor) and P1130 (fuel rail pressure) my question is - could the cam sensor circuit failing cause the fuel rail pressure fault or are they desperate issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Only had the car a few weeks and causing me loads of dramas!
Cheers Dan

Cam sensor is integrated with Crank sensor so if one goes you go into limp mode instead of total shutdown so you can carry on at reduced power. Sounds like after sitting then driving off the fuel rail pressure wasn't at power up pressure hence shutdown.
Rail Sensor, overpressure bypass valve or Injectors to check. What's the odds here. Check injector drains and bypass valve for excess fuel.

Not yet, going to take the IAT sensor off tomorrow and check that for cleanliness as the readings were slightly out of spec. Also cut out again today and the primer on the fuel filter/heater was rock solid. When I did the key dance it came up with p1130 and p0340. Is there an order to the key dance as in newest fault to oldest fault or is it random? Just asking as p0340 was the last to flash before it displayed Done. If needs be I will change the crankshaft and camshaft sensors to eliminate these. Running out of ideas now as my diagnostics equipment is limited to a scan tool which doesn't recognise the faults, a multimeter, and basic mechanics tools.

Your rock solid filter sounds good, need to check around the fuel rail area for pressure loss. Like rail sensor, over pressure valve and injectors. Check to see if one of the injectors leaking off compared with others. There's a check for rail sensor voltage on here somewhere, must note this myself.
