Thanks guys fof the info. I managed to get it sorted now with all your help. Looks like you can go from 3000 mls service all the wy up to 12.500mls!... mine for some reason isn't doing it in round numbers! Atm, it is set for 6231mls! Is this because there is a sensor that checks the condition of the engine oil?

I bought my first Voyager brand new. I questioned the 12,500 service interval that was displayed because I thought it was an odd value but the dealer told me that is the interval specified by Chrysler.

no, no sensor, it's a simple mileage countdown.

Though 6231 miles is a smidgen over 10,000 km

Cheers guys for the info. I could never leave an engine oil in a Diesel for 12k. Even when its a full synthetic like Mobil 1 with its very good TBN of around 12. My VW had a service interval of 20k! How stupid is that! With these acidic fuels like diesel! It's all about keeping the cost of ownership down! To the detriment of the engine! And that was with the 507 00 spec oils that had half the TBN (Total Base Number ) of a true synth over a cracked one like Castrol EDGE. Crazy or what...
