Default Radiator Fan Ralay on Chrysler Grand Voyager 3.3l Yr2000

Hi all the experts out there!
Earlier on I had a problem on both my cooling and radiator fans which was not functioning. I was advised to replace the Radiator Relay Switch.
I've just replaced my Radiator Fan Relay Switch. The problem I'm facing now is,once I connect my negative battery terminal, both the radiator and cooling fans starts running even before I switch the engine.
What could be the problem now??
Tqvm.

bad fan relay its crap if U call your local dealer and have them run your vin it might be under a recall for that relay and no cost to you.

I have a similar problem.
Bought a new relay and they still don't turn on.
But I was told if I short pin #4 to negative battery terminal the fans should turn on, but they don't.
Is that true or should I go to the dealer and buy another relay?

Hi Jimmy154,
In my case, after all the trouble I went thru, the fault lies with the lack of the aircond gas.
I drove the car to an aircond shop and topped up the refrigerant and bingo, both the fan run well with intermittent.
Why dont you try that.

I think you got it, I'll try that.
But shouldn't they turn on when the thermostat reads hot also?
Is that what you mean by: "both the fan run well with intermittent."
