Default Radiator Fans

Hi all,
this is my first post, and i hope you can help me.I have a 2002 Grand Voyager, which has developed an intermittent fault.
The radiator fans come on for a few seconds, then back off again even with no key in ignition, and the engine is cold.
It is a 3.3L Limited. Thanks
