Rear View Camera

Out of focus backup camera 2010 T&C
Dealer told me the same thing "that is the way they are." Can someone give me the part number for the replacement?
I don't want to put in a new aftermarket with new rear view mirror, etc. Just replace with a new camera.
Thanks.

As focussing cameras was something I did all day everyday at ADT., usually twisting the lens back and forth will focus it. In your case, focus on infinity. I never found any camera that didn't work this way. The problem could be that the lens is locked in position by a very small allen screw (may be called a hex. screw) to which getting hold of a suitable allen key could be a BIG prob.

As mentioned above, there is no adjustment avail and that's the way they are per the dealership service dept. I went round and round on this issue with a couple dealers who in fact reviewed other vehicles to show me they were also blurred. My KIA Sorento on the other hand has a very clear view!

Doug, please inspect camera carefully, I'm sure there will be a way of focussing the lens, even my ultra cheapo web cam can be adjusted by twisting the lens. (I paid £2:50 for it). Maybe you have a friend into cameras?

I carefully examined the camera lens and could not see any way of adjusting it. The camera if flush fit into its plastic mount. There is a small drain hole in the bottom of the plastic mount verified by a strong light and mirror. If there is any adjustment to the camera lens and suspect the camera has to be removed from its mount which would require removing the internal parts of the hatch for access. That is something I would not mess with personally. Also I believe the folks at the dealership would be able to to do it if they could.
