Remote fob not working

Default Remote fob not working

hi im new here and have searched the site but no help, i have a 2005 2.8 crd xs ltd ed, the other day while filling car with diesel i placed the fuel cap on the side with key in it rolled off to the floor after i payed for my fuel i realised the key fob had stopped working completely i checked the battery seems fine no internal damage, i called out a key fob guy says fob is sending out right signal, he reconnected fob to car via computer but still the fob is not working, i have tried the battery disconect and pressing lock buttons in ignition to no avail and i have tried removing the iod fuse still no luck the remote jus isnt connecting to the car can anybody help please
