Default Removing bearing carrier on 2003 Grand Voyager

Hey all,

I have recently changed the front right wheel bearing and am now doing the front left. When I changed the rhs the bearing carrier popped off the hub relatively easily but on the left the bearing itself has separated, leaving the inner part of the bearing carrier stuck onto the hub.

Does anyone know of there is a hub puller type tool to remove this? I see that there are cut-outs top and bottom and I have a feeling these are there to allow the use of some sort of hub puller. The basic type of hub puller isn't suitable here since it works on the spline and I have already used one of these to push the drive shaft out of the bearing.

If there isn't a hub puller then does anyone have any idea how to get this bearing carrier off??

Thanks in advance!

Allen

Done!

Hammer and chisel....plus a lot of heating and cooling.

Should have been a relatively straightforward job...

For anyone interested, a bearing/hub unit for the voyager up to 2001 does fit perfectly onto a 2003 model. For some reason, I was able to buy the older unit for almost half the cost of the newer one.

Cheers.
