Thanks I don't get on the forum as much as I'd like due to work comitments but I do hope this helps those having similar issues.
However, I'd forgotten to mention; I got everything from Phoenix Transmission in the US. very helpful and they do ship to Europe. torque converter, 4L60 items in transmission parts store on eBay!
