small problem after fitting new lambda sensor
so my engine management light has been on for over 18months due to a lambda sensor so i finally got it changed yesterday result no more light .. problem i have that wasn't there before is now when i come to a stop the car feels like its going to cut out and then revs up and starts hunting .. then after a while all is ok then again into the journey it does it again ..
sensor was bank 1 (front ) car is a uk spec GV 3.3 v6
could the mechanic have disturbed something as he said it was a bit of a pain getting to the sensor ..
thanks in advance

Maybe your computer needs a reset? (for example by disconnecting battery for 1/2 hour.)
At the other hand I had similiar problem with a mercedes with replaced lambda years ago, it seemend the car had a "selflearning" curve and it took several days before the car ran smoothly under all circumstances again.

Your all most cutting out then reving sounds like a sticking throttle plate, MAF, where you need to clean it out with the magic spray. But my initial thought was to the Lambda sensor, where you have to have the right one for your engine made by the right manufacturer, otherwise you get problems. This has been highlighted on here many times.
Just a little info on the Lambda. The Lambda controls the mixture at idle, so if your hunting is a very slight rev change at idle it is caused by the Lambda Sensor switching. Now if is a heavier hunt check your inlet system for air leaks and as I said clean out the throttle butterfly...
