smoke after switch off

Default smoke after switch off

i have a 2002 grand and after the engine is switched off they is a fan running under the car and smoke coming from what looks like a breather pipe by the fuel tank any idea's

I assume your Voyager is a Diesel.

If so, then what you describe is the Aux cabin heater. It's a small diesel fired webasto boiler that helps to warm the engine coolant quickly when the ambient temperature is low.

It takes a minute or two to fully shut down when it's running hence the noise/smoke you get after shutdown.

A search of the forum for "auxiliary cabin heater" or "cabin heater" will give more info on it.
