Tested .... smack on 14.4v steady across the REV range. Well pleased !

8 stage charger for £30 does desulf at stage 6, plug it in and leave it as many years as you choose.

Step 1). Desulphation
Step 2). Soft Start
Step 3). Bulk Charge
Step 4). Absorption
Step 5). Idle Test
Step 6). Recondition
Step 7). Float Maintenance
Step 8). Pulse Maintenance

Nice find QinteQ, think I might invest in one as I've been on the fence for a while, keep some of my spare batteries topped up properly.

Also, going to grab a 22k Ω and get that connected in as with the cold mornings I'm noticing more often dash needle sweeps. Thanks again!

Leave a message here and I'll tell our Jimmy to give you a couple of the exact 22k Ω resistors I used, I left a strip with 9 remaining in his workshop.

I've concluded the 'solar maintainer' decision. The bottom line will be (1) it will deliver the 1/2 winter watt (2) in the 2-4 winter hour window (3) but only with the (4) right quality more expensive (5) German Bosch Euro panel for (6) £90GBP.

Roof mounting will give increased benefits, but I'm not sure I want to go there, sticking it on the front shelf will obscure vents and will overhang the 'eyebrow info binnacle' by 1/2". Finally those who are 'off street' will I'm sure have a no problem easy install - those 'on street' will have additional risks to consider. Take care .. .. ..
