extended weekend calls for some work on an old car.
as my steering pump is leaking oil on the main shaft, I'm going to try to replace the oil seal.
special chrysler tool for toothed gear I already have, but I would like to buy the seal before I start to work.

so, question is:
does anybody know proper dimensions for main shaft oil seal for steering pump.
car is voyager 2,4 liter gasoline from 1997 (with A/C, if that's important).

 

can't believe that nobody here never dismantled power steering pump.

so if you find yourself in that situation, you should know that there is a solution.
chrysler garage does not sell oil seal itself, but you can only buy the whole pump.
but it is possible to remove the plastic plate (the one that belt is running on) and exchange the oil seal only.
mine was a bit hard to find becouse of american measures, but I found it.
it's a 1 and 5/16 on outside and 19 mm on the inside oil seal.

no more oil leak on the pump shaft.
