Steering racks and drive shafts :S
Well, we got the oil leak fixed, new clutch, new rear brakes
Next on our list is a steering rack and drive shafts...think we're the ones that got shafted when we bought this lol!
So our mechanic has quoted us £540 for the steering rack but I've seen new and reconditioned ones on Ebay for £130? Should I be shopping round methinks?
Also been quoted £190 for one drive shaft and £240 for the other plus labour
Does that sound right?
The other thing is the ABS light staying on....have been told it's the OSR ABS sensor which needs replacing for which he wants £99 and is saying it must be ordered from USA and will take 3 weeks!?
Did he see me coming?
I've already spent £750 trying to get this through the MOT...am I flogging a dead donkey? Would be such a lovely car if it worked lol.
