Who can help?

I have recently purchased a voyager and I am trying to figure out how to remove the roof bars. I can get them loose enough that they will slide. At the front it looks as if there is a removable cover, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get it off, probably something simple I know. Have tried shifting it rearwards/forwards and tried pulling.Scared of breaking it I guess.

Would appreciate some help.
