Default Suspension likely future issues?

I tried to get an answer on Quora. But the answers were cheesy.

My van is a LX 2008, TC, still runs well. A mechanic was trying to get money out of me recently. I did go through with it. He was telling me need new coils, and struts front and back, etc. I did notice some worn but van still drives well. New tires. May need a catalytic converter down road.

I was looking to do a 9 hour drive. Maybe avoid the expressway, highways or it should't matter. My van had oil leaks and still got me to where I needed to. Had lots of repairs since then.

I been getting my alignments at a different mechanic for years. And they haven't said nothing about my suspensions needing replacements etc. They said they would not let me get an alignment if something was up

I don't want to put much more money into this van.

The only problem in past was a bad battery and or the wheel computer had stopped working. Since then had replaced. And those were past issues that kept me from going on a trip. I have a new battery so doing good so far.

Yeah I'm not the best with upkeep on mileage. My relative took care of it. They had more money than me. It's over 220,00 in mileage. Just wanted to be able to be sure get to point A and to point B. Doubt round trip either. I had a good mechanic back in another town I lived. They would tell me if you do driving to the big city everyday you'll eventually wear down your car. I don't use my van for long trips. But my relative before me did use for long travels round trips. I use it mostly for short trips locally.
