T&C 2008 poor gas milage?

its a heavy van to start with nearly 1500 to 2000 more LBS then the model b4 then using ac all the time will drop it by 3-6 mpgs on avg hilly areas also make it worse and how u drive all of them are factors are u doing the math or using the over head?
