I have a 2021 Voyager LXI w/ 3.6L V6 24V VVT engine w/ESS (engine start stop)... planning on towing, class 3 hitch coming (curt mfg), and read some issues about wiring...

doing research into wiring for flat 4-pin and read that vehicles with ESS will lose trailer lights when engine stops, and come back with engine start... what I read says it matters where the wiring is, and what it taps into... so the question is, has anyone here did this? the article I read talked about issues, but no solution... I guess I could disable ESS every time, but likely to forget that... so if anyone has done it, what did you do? fix it? live with it? curious...
