2010 town and country, how do you check the trans fluid? 31,000 mi leaving on vacation just want to check fluid level, thanks, joe.

 

start the car and let it idle in park,pull the dipstick out of the tranny filler,and check the marking for cold or hot,should be between the 2 holes for cold or hot,

if u are starting from cold then will be the cold section,if u are just back from a run will be in the hot section.


pull the stick and wipe it clean,then put back in pull it out and check the lvl

 

Best to do it when it's fully up to temperature using the Hot marks on the dipstick. The mark on the dipstick for cold is only accurate when the fluid is exactly 72 F and there is no way of knowing this.
