Default turn signal messes up dash panel?

So everything worked fine yesterday on our 2001 town and country. this morning my daughter said when she turned the signal right, the fuel gauge and temp gauge with the tach went to zero. When I checked it even when I turned on the flashers the dash panel lost power, all the lights work and so does the wipers. Does anyone know if its a short or a module?

May be looking at a new battery here, how old is yours. But do a reboot first.

If you're lucky it might just be a bad earth connection from the battery (although I'd expect starting to be challenging if a true earth problem).

So my first thing along the lines of what goggs suggests, take both battery leads off, check for corrosion, arc'ing, etc, and re-attach firmly, make sure they've got a good bond and try again, see if any difference.
