Default Well i'll try this again T&C 2002 3.3L fwd, transmission all lock up

I was driving at 60 mph and all the sudden the van shifted down hard. So hard the front wheels squeal and I pulled over to the side of the road. I shut the engine down, and now it will not go into any gear. you feel it engage but it will not move like it's stuck in all gears at the same time. I got codes P0700, P0715, and P0720. The van will not move in neutral when with the engine running, you have to cut the engine off to move it in neutral. So I towed the van home. The next day start van the same thing, but with out any codes.

Well there is a few options found on here regarding V6 Auto faults for you to check.
Burnt wires near exhaust pipes.
Wiring loom to box.
Chaffing wire between box and module.
Check solenoids on the box for operation and wiring connections.
And gear operating levers, cables to the box for being disconnected.
Finally drop sump and check for metal.

if it wont go into 2nd or reverse then it's not a control or electrical failure. I would take a guess that the box is going to be mechanically knackered.

I'd drop the sump and be expecting to find large chunks of metal. If so the replace the box with a 2nd hand unit.

Regards
Richard

World Transmissions of Staten Island dropped the pan and found large chunks drop the transmission and the planet gear exploded. And so a complete rebuild with new torque converter and other hard and soft parts. And of course a complete transmission flush. And some engine and trans mounts replace also.

An answer that we didn't want to hear but saves all the check this and that and tother bits. As too changing the engine and trans mounts, that's a good idea, as their a pain to get to.

Check you trans. control box , I have change a few the last 4 weeks. I usual check the box visual , corode and bad contact. ( box is made of alloy , even the print is cover with some kinde of gel / silicon dosen't help.

If you change the box you need to reset box, to learn the controler the new filling time to each gear chamber(hydraulic filling time to engage clutch)
Can only be done with Chrysler DRB tester. (if you don't you will burn og trans. in 30sec.)

Yes it's quit common fail with planet gear, on the 2,8 CRD Chrysler came with engine control update to lower torque under gear change to prevent this with some luck but not 100% fail safe.
Never tow a trailer in OD. it keep up the speed on the pump to get more oil through trans.oil cooler.
On the old NS/GS models with tow pack from factory dual trans.oil cooler was required.
