Hi I have had the exact same problem for the last few months white smoke when pulling away or when it was first started on a morning Turned out to be a failed fuel Injector No3 to be exact Just had it replaced and problem solved but NOT CHEAP 1 injector Re-Con £160 then Fitting

you will be lucky if it is an injector mine was the head , had gone porus on one of the inlets , are you losing water? does the engine jam when staring sometimes?
if you do need to do the head give J.N.L engineering a call at blackwater and speak to shane they do all the genuine VM gaskets at good prices
thats where i got all my parts from
i dont have any problems anymore..........i sold it, someone got a good car i done loads to it .
they are very expensive on parts even for a mechanic like me with trade discount still they are a great people carrier but you need to have deep pockets to run one

just to let everyone know, the white smoke issue is now sorted!!
it turned out to be 2 leaking injectors!!
thanks for all the advice and comments - much appriciated..
