Will a code reader identify why my pollution light is on?
2006 T & C. Pollution light came on at 33K miles (not flashing).
I hope AutoZone will plug in a code reader for me ..If not, may buy one.
Anyone know the MOST LIKELY CAUSE for this? That is, the actual component needing attention.

You can get the codes by turning the car on and off three times
e.g. off-on off-on off-on.
Your trip meter will then deisplay the relevant P codes e.g. P1130. You can correlate this against the list of codes whih can easily be found on the internet.

actually the trick is move the key between ACC and ON three times
ACC-ON/ ON-ACC/ ACC-ON
EVIC will show codes to you and then you can search for the codes resulted
usually codes are not addressing the real problem but like 40% you will get a code explanation that is directly hits your problem.
remember that if you got a massive amount of codes that seams Irrelevant to your problem then you might have a serious problem or a very silly cheap to fix problem
