Default Windshield Noise

Hello All. I just bought my first Chrysler, a 2006 Town and Country from CarMax. I noticed that when driving anything over 50mph, that there is serious windshield air noise. My guess is that it’s a seal or something that is broken and hopefully that it’s not just normal noise. Before I bring it to the dealer, has anyone heard of any problems like this? Thanks!

I just bought an '04 and it is very quiet compared to the 1998 I traded in. I would check the seal around the driver's side window. My '98 was quite loud on the highway because the window seal was compromised. Just a thought.

Thanks for the responses. CHRYSLER TECH one of the roof racks was not lined up properly. VFRbeliever, I think you hit the head on the nail. I am embarrassed I didn’t notice this before I bought it, but I never thought of this as something to even look for. The seal at the top of the windshield is in terrible shape. I took some pics to show how bad it is. I am bringing it into the dealer tomorrow morning since I have only 2000 miles left on the factory warranty. Thanks for the advice everyone.

An update to this, the repair shop fixed the gasket around the windshield but the noise was still there. I then noticed that if I cracked the passenger’s window down a fourth of the way, that the noise got really loud and if I place my hand up in the bottom driver’s side of the windshield above the dashboard, I can actually feel air like a vent is open. I brought it back and the popped out the windshield and replaced the whole thing. They called me last night after their test drive to tell me the air leak is still there. Does anyone have any ideas? It sounds like they are going to start taking the dashboard apart which I really which they didn’t have to do. Thanks.

Final Update. I just got back and they fixed it. The last time they reseated the windshield, there is a little plastic lip it should have been sitting on. Apparently it slipped off before the glue was dry.
