Default Wires

Hi guys can anyone tell me what these wires are for. I took the engine cover off and this wire is burnt and crumbling so I've taped it up to make it safe. I have attached a pic of it and I've colored it red.

Your red line, is it pointing to something of is this the route of the Frazzled wire.
