Default 1998 Plymouth Breeze won't start / run when hot outside

I have a 1998 Plymouth Breeze (2.0) that has decided it will not run when it's hot outside. It threw a P0106 code so I replaced the MAP sensor. But there is no change. Occasionally it will run, but very poorly and it will not idle. I had been noticing some problems with idle and surging prior to this. If I wait until the evening (when it cools off) to try, it will start and idle fine. I have tried everything I can think of (except pushing it off a cliff!). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I was able to swap with a friend that has the same make/model, 1997. It appears that I got a bad replacement part, as I swapped mine with his and the symptoms went away in mine and appeared on his. Thanks!
