oil leak

Hey all,

My 96 cirrus has an oil leak. Im told its the head gasket and that it could run to 1000 dollars to fix.
Is there any other explanation for this? And can i fix it for a wayyyy cheaper price?

do u have pictures ? get a second opinion. And no that is the norm for a head gasket if not more. Have some one do it on the side
I live in atl and would do it .
