I had my 96 sebring for 2years never had any problems like this well car was running a lil ruff. When I stopped at light it felt like it wanted to stall once I get some speed it would run fine. Well one day it started up we left driving down the street and it just stalled out radio on etc so I had power . I tried to start it back up and nothing I mean it cranked over but it wouldn't start after a few tries battery died. Someone told me fuel pump so I replaced it but still no starting up . What could it be? Im single mom and works I need my car.I am running out of ideas and money lol please let me know anything TGABJ you and god bless

 

My car is a 96 Chrysler sebring convertible 2.5V6

 

Just judging from the info you gave, i'm thinking the distributor died. Have you ever replaced the spark plugs and wires? People neglecting those is usually what kills them.
